Xooma Worldwide - Last edited 14 March - 4-minute read You may have heard that a little stress can be a good thing and a motivator. Is it still a good thing if it becomes a way of life? Stress is how your body reacts to certain situations, which has been referred to as the “fight or flight syndrome.” However, modern life presents differently than thousands of years ago when you faced a life-threatening situation and needed to act quickly. The “fight or flight” response is immediate in reacting or running, and activates your adrenaline. Stress that is mild and short-lived is one thing. Chronic long-term stress, and overworked adrenal glands, over time can affect your physical and mental health.* Cardiac-related challenges are often referred to as the “silent killer.” If long-term stress can lead to some of these conditions, then is stress really the “silent killer?” You are probably familiar with some external symptoms of stress. However, how do you know what is really happening inside your body, which you could call ‘internal’ symptoms? External Symptoms There are many outward signs of stress on the body: anxiety, depression, headaches/migraines, heartburn, weight gain/weight loss. Internal Symptoms Gut health and cardiac function are just two areas that can be affected by stress. Gut health is responsible for approximately 70% of your immune system and 90% of your serotonin. Research has also revealed a connection between psychological stress and cardiovascular disease.* Stress-reducing activities It’s pretty clear that stress isn’t something that’s generally going to decrease, especially given our busy modern lives. Sometimes even changing your surroundings can change your state! Here are some ways you can include stress-reducing activities in your daily life. Breathe Some people unknowingly hold their breath when they are under stress. Be mindful of your breathing, and take slow deep breaths often. Move Your body was meant to move. Low impact exercises include walking, Yoga and Tai Chi. Swimming uses many muscles. There are lots of sports to choose from, both indoor and outdoor. Here is a wonderful free tool to discover what works best for you: “Be Active Your Way Widget.” https://bit.ly/2NeNg70 Eat restorative foods You probably know what’s coming…. more leafy greens, fresh vegetables and fruits, natural grains and lean protein. What you eat has a direct impact not just on your waistline but also your brain function and your mood. If you’re not sure where to begin, here is another great resource: “Heart-Healthy Foods: Shopping List.” https://bit.ly/1pGzaOy Seek balance Build balance into your schedule, such as quiet time, meditation, and time away from the television, computer and other technical devices. Xooma Products can help support you Through observing the impact of stress on two main areas of the body – gut health and cardiac health – here’s how Xooma’s products can help! Gut HealthXooma Products that support Gut Health include X2O (item #8025), Assimilator (item #1118), and Probiotix (item 3901) X2O™ is the foundational product. It works synergistically while revitalizing, mineralizing and alkalizing. There are two targeted products in Xooma’s line with proprietary and trademarked ingredients that support gut health. Assimilator™ Taking care of your gut begins with your digestive system. Assimilator is referred to as “The Missing Ingredient” in our modern diet. Many foods you consume no longer contain enzymes, which aid the absorption of nutrients and can improve digestion. Probiotix™ Probiotics are vital for your overall gut health. Xooma’s Probiotix formula supports ideal levels of GOOD gut bacteria for a healthy digestive system and strong immune system. Heart HealthXooma Products that can help support Heart health include Omega 3/75 (item 1101) and KardiaXyme (item 2801) Knowing how important it is to take care of your physical health, some of the recommendations earlier in this article help build health through exercising your heart muscle. Xooma’s products can also help support improved cardiac functioning.* KardiaXyme™ is a unique blend of marine algae and scientifically shown to reduce inflammation, especially important with the heart. Xooma Members have also experienced increased ‘good’ cholesterol and decreased ‘bad’ cholesterol. Omega 3/75™ is an ultra-pure formula that contains a high ratio of EPA & DHA (Essential Fatty Acids), and cardiac benefits are widely-recognized. Include stress-reducing activities in your daily life, eat restorative foods, and use Xooma’s targeted supplements. Then you are putting into practice ‘overcoming stress’! * The statements in this publication have not been evaluated by the Food and Drug Administration, and are not intended to diagnose, treat, cure or prevent any disease.
XOOMA WORLDWIDE·TUESDAY, JUNE 23, 2020 Many people believe that mental decline doesn’t begin until your senior years. Yet research is now showing it can begin as early as in your 40’s, and shockingly, even in your 30’s. Have you contemplated how important maintaining your brain function is to you? Better yet, if there was a targeted product that was excellent quality, within reach, and totally affordable, what would that be worth to you? In addition to numerous other high quality, targeted products, fortunately for all of us, Xooma has a dedicated brain support product in its line – RevitalMind™! RevitalMind includes researched and specialized ingredients that can help support memory, concentration and mental performance. ![]() RevitalMind™ is Xooma’s exclusive brain support formula that targets long-term cognitive function. It includes trademarked brain-boosting ingredients. It also contains a proprietary blend offering scientifically-researched ingredients: Acetyl-L-carnitine, DMAE, Alpha-GPC, and SerinAid®. These targeted ingredients have been shown to help maintain and improve mental performance, help improve mood, and can make a valuable contribution to lowering both physical and psychological stress. Here’s more about some of RevitalMind’s targeted ingredients.* Acetyl-L-Carnitine (ALCAR) is a form of L-carnitine, a Bioenergetic Nutrient found in nearly all cells of the body. ALCAR protects, maintains and energizes the neurons that are critical to concentration, memory, mental energy and overall health.
DMAE, also known as dimethylethanolamine, is an Energetic Nutrient naturally found in fish like sardines and anchovies. It is believed to work primarily by supporting healthy neurotransmitter function, particularly the production and action of acetylcholine. Alpha GPC is also known as Alpha-glycerophosphocholine. Research shows it metabolizes into choline, the precursor of the neurotransmitter acetylcholine which has been shown to support a host of cognitive function. SerinAid PhosphatidylSerine (PS), can significantly help maintain and improve mental performance. Scientific studies have shown it helps improve mood, and can make a valuable contribution to lowering both physical and psychological stress. And there is another stamp of approval that SerinAid received in recent years. Here is some powerful support of SerinAid PS. To demonstrate just how effective PS really is, in 2003 the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) granted two significant health claims for it. They indicated that PS may reduce the risk of cognitive dysfunction and dementia in the elderly. RevitalMind includes researched and specialized ingredients that can help support memory, concentration and mental performance. So why risk becoming another statistic of age-related mental decline, when it would be so easy and affordable to support your brain function? You know now that supporting your cognitive function means feeding your brain daily. And that’s why Xooma created a Premium Brain Support Formula with RevitalMind. *Spring 2020 Health Beat by Dr. Melissa Bennett Check out Xooma products - Click Here *These statements have not been evaluated by the Food and Drug Administration.

This product is not intended to diagnose, treat, cure or prevent any disease. If you asked yourself what would go hand-in-hand with Xooma’s top-notch products, in addition to healthy eating, what would you guess? The answer is ‘Movement’! Healthy living isn’t just defined by what you eat or which Xooma supplements you take. It’s also about moving your body on a regular (daily) basis. The unfortunate news is that the obesity epidemic in our country isn’t lessening. In fact, in some age ranges the numbers are still increasing. It begins with lifestyle. Many people live lifestyles that don’t encourage movement. Depending on how you answer these questions, what action would you take to adjust your daily routine to allow for more movement? · Is your job or main form of work mostly sedentary? · If it is, how often do you stop and stretch, stand up, or walk around? · How much do you sit in the evening? · Do you ever watch television standing up? · Do you take the stairs over the elevator? These are just some basic questions to help you take a look at your daily routine. The more movement you include, the more benefits you will gain. The body was made to move. Notice this article doesn’t say exercise. If you exercise already, that’s great. If you don’t, there are vast benefits in just getting moving. When you engage in exercise or movement, you want a frequency of 3 or more times a week. Now here are 3 low-impact recommendations. Walking Walking is one of the best forms of exercise. It is low impact and uses many muscles in the body. Among other positive benefits, walking increases your respiratory and heart rates, which increases your blood oxygen levels. More oxygen can help your organs and bodily systems work more efficiently. Besides, you just feel good after a walk! There are numerous benefits to walking. Here is one of the most powerful statements recently shared: “Walking is the closest thing we have to a wonder drug,” says Dr. Thomas Frieden. Dr. Frieden was the former director of the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention in the United States (2009-2017). ![]() Yoga Yoga has increased in popularity over the last few decades in the western world. Its origins are thousands of years old, originally brought to the United States by the well-known Paramahansa Yogananda from India in the early to mid 1900’s. There are several forms of yoga, and much deeper benefits beyond what some consider interesting-looking poses. There is even Chair Yoga for those with physical challenges or limitations. The benefits are vast and include greater flexibility, muscle strength, increased metabolism, and increased cardiovascular and circulatory health. There is more, though. The deeper purpose of yoga is about bringing the body and mind into alignment or ‘resonance’. This creates a reduction in stress through a greater sense of peace and a balancing of the body, mind and spirit. ![]() Tai Chi Tai Chi is similar to yoga in that it holds a deeper purpose. Like yoga, Tai Chi involves the ability to simultaneously ‘exercise’, meditate, relax, and form a deeper connection. Recent research is showing even more benefits for some, including pain management, strengthened immune system, and strengthening the musculoskeletal system, and muscle and joint strength. What some don’t realize, however, is that Tai Chi is a form of martial art. Through time, many no longer needed this martial art and it became a ‘meditation through movement’. Circulation is at the root of Tai Chi, specifically to promote the circulation of your ‘chi’ and your blood. Back to ‘movement’! One of the best rules of thumb is doing what interests you and fits your lifestyle the best. The end goal? Just get moving – your body, mind and spirit will thank you!
Cereal companies created a myth about the first meal of the day. Researchers keep debunking it. https://www.vox.com/2019/2/1/18206873/breakfast-diet-weight-loss The Blood Type Diet |
The Blood Type Diet gains recognition It led to my attending a symposium in Tennessee the same year given by an avid follower of the Blood Type Diet. His name was Bob. Bob had gathered over 800 people who were ALSO following the Blood Type Diet. It was a unique event. People had traveled from all parts of the country to this small town to hear Bob speak about this revolutionary new approach. I thought it was funny that all the blood groups were sitting together in separate areas. Each section was divided between blood groups O, A, B, and AB. Bob had made food that was beneficial for all blood types, and it was delicious! We were all meeting each other, and everyone was sharing their personal journey with the Blood Type Diet. |
As the news crew began showing up at my office to interview me, I was very excited yet still extremely nervous. I have to say, “God is always good and Always on time.” Unbeknownst to me, I had a patient who had taken ‘Before and After’ pictures of herself when she did the Blood Type Diet. She showed up as the crew was coming in and this turned out to be such a blessing! Cheryl had lost 57 pounds and she was off 11 prescription medications, all as a result of following the Blood Type Diet along with my supplement recommendations. The interview went phenomenally well. There is a copy of this interview on my website under TV appearances so others can see Cheryl’s fantastic results! |
